Without victim-blaming, throwing pity parties, or turning a blind eye, how can systems support the voices and dreams of survivors in our world?
Because of Freely in Hope, I realized that I am a survivor and no longer a victim. I am more confident in myself which is why I am able to fight sexual violence.
Be courageous and own your own story –– your story is powerful.
How you respond as an advocate can be critical in shaping the healing process for a survivor.
I hope that other girls will realize how powerful they are, and use this power to bring change to their communities and the world.
For so long, the girl child has been abandoned. Withholding education from the young girl has caused her to be seen as an inferior being,
My vision is to see the girl child in school, empowered and independent. I encourage the girls that I teach and interact with to better their lives through education.
FIH gives girls opportunities to change, grow, and most importantly, achieve their dreams. The experience at FIH molds us to be better and stronger women in society.
In telling our stories, we regain control over the narrative. We prove to ourselves that we are unbroken.
