MEET ELIZABETH, A FREELY IN HOPE SCHOLAR AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT

Elizabeth, a high school student, and Freely in Hope Scholar grew up in Lusaka, Zambia, in a family of four. At nine years old, Elizabeth faced sexual violence at the hands of her step father.

Joining Freely in Hope and getting an education in a safe environment helped her find courage and confidence within her voice. She aspires to become a psychological counselor to support others who have experienced trauma.

Elizabeth loves being a survivor leader and has a desire to end sexual violence in her community.

"I believe that holistic education aids survivors in their recovery." Elizabeth
