Highlights of 2016
In this season of joy, we want to share some of our most joyous moments of the year with you!
We taught on Healing from Trauma with over 200 students at our partner school, I Can Fly International!
We also reached out to high school boys in the session and were inspired by their vision for a violence-free Kenya!
Eunice, our very first scholar from Kenya, spoke at our 6th Anniversary Gala in San Francisco!
We led interactive therapy with child survivors of prostitution with our partner, One Lamb Ministries.
We welcomed Lydia, Freely in Hope’s first fellow, to the team!
We opened up our community center in Nairobi!
We use our community center to hold leadership development programs, counseling, and academic workshops for Freely in Hope scholars.
We established a partnership with International Justice Mission in Kenya!
We used the power of art therapy to tell our stories of healing and transformation!
We taught on Art + Healing with Youth With a Mission in Barcelona, Spain.
We hosted our annual International Day of the Girl Conference with over 100 students from Garden of Hope Foundation!
Our International Day of the Girl Conference was held in Kibera, East Africa’s largest slum.
We celebrated 3 high school graduations!
We celebrated 2 university graduations!
We educated over 1,000 survivors, students, and practitioners on ending sexual violence!
We heard countless stories of healing, transformation, and redemption from survivors of sexual violence around the world!
